and I don't mean on TPIR (The Price Is Right).

I was flipping through the Sunday newspaper ads, and I saw this: "Priced Lower In Store."

What on earth? Are they afraid that the competition will scoop them?

If any of you can come up with the truth or a plausible lie, I would be grateful.

"Priced Lower In Store."

IMHO- The web is good, but by getting you IN the store lets them believe you will or can be swayed into making a(n) (impulse) purchase.

Compare this to airlines and such that sometimes price web fares LOWER to get you used to NOT dealing with a human.

I think it's also so individual stores can vary prices according to local competition: the Sears next to a Best Buy might set their price a bit lower than a Sears with no big competitor nearby.
