Problem with New Speed Queen Dryer!

I have a 27" Speed Queen gas dryer, model number ADG3SRGS113TW01.

Tonight, I'm put a small load to dry, and I'm hearing an intermittent, high-pitch squeaking noise from the rear.

Being less than two months old, it's under warranty.

Do I call Speed Queen for under-warranty authorized service, or directly to a local authorized shop for help?

Out of curiosity, what is likely wrong with it?

Sounds like a issue with the tensioner.

Make sure there isn’t something stuck between the drum and the felt.

You can call the store you bought it from, hopefully they are a self servicing dealer. If not call speed queen and they can give you a list of authorized servicers in your area

I bought the dry on-line from a first across country; I sent the salesperson an e-mail.

Do you mean opening the dry door and looking inside, or actually taking apart the dryer (which I'm concerned would void the warranty)?

I would keep using it for a few more weeks unless the noise is really loud or keeps getting worse, you don't want to have some one out to hear the noise and not have the machine make the sound, You Might Get Charged for the service call if there is nothing wrong.

This is one problem with on-line sales, a self-servicing dealer may eat these nuance calls, but if a serverser comes out and finds nothing wrong they may charge you for the service call.

Before I saw your post, I called Speed Queen.

They assured me that this is an internal problem, covered under warranty, that I should have it evaluated, and there should be no charge for me.

Although I live in a big city, no authorized service center within 40 miles will come to the city to service. It's futile for me to keep calling service centers further than 40 miles away.

Curiously, I can't get Speed Queen's Service to return my calls.
