I have a Kitchen Aid mixer that I got from my Mother. It's a K45SS(WH) Serial WD2633456. 250W.
The problem is with the lower speed settings. From the STIR to 6 setting the motor runs at speed 6. The faster speeds run correctly.
I should point out that rarely, if set to STIR, the motor jumps between speed 6 and STIR, and finally settle down on STIR. This is very sporadic, it usually just charges along at 6.
Because this is a Solid State speed control, is this something I can fix myself? Any chance it's just a dirty contact in the switch?
Any idea about its age based on the Serial No? Is it a Hobart machine?
Thanks,
Bill
