Well, thinking pressure fill always meant full fill in the tub no matter the pressure I was very surprised to learn that was not true!

I have kept my Bendix taps on way low since I installed them thinking it didn't matter to the fill but kept my showers nice and hot, since temp control valves tend to bleed cold water into the hot water lines.

I always thought the low water level I saw in the tub was the factory water level. Wrong!

I just was in a hurry one day this month and opened the taps full, the water blasted in and the machines filled up to a point beyond what they normally filled to so that the clothes and suds were really SLOSHING against the glass! I had never seen such sloshing turnover! AND the spray rinse before spin really rinsed deep, so my taps are ALWAYS on HIGH from now on!

I wondered why Artie wasn't sitting in front of the window smiling the way he does, till I realized that HE was filming the video.

"Isn't Life Strange?": sang the Moody Blues. Here, it's just the opposite: high water pressure has crushed two valves. I have to keep the pressure low on the timed-fill machines because the cold water pressure on the lake is like a fire hydrant's.

Looks good just like a Bendix should! Jon, you have the COOLEST front loaders! A little more water helps everything get cleaner, and rinsed better too.

It seems like the timers only allow a certain "window" to fill then just carry on regardless. So if the water was turned off completely would it go through the cycle dry?

I don't think so,as the pressure fill switch has to be satisfied before the timer gets energized.
But what I do think is happening is the pressure switch is sluggish and so a more vigorous fill gets more water into the tank before it closes.

Slosh slosh....

no this machine I got from Wonderful Bob Salem in Ohio. It was one of those rare finds sitting new & unused right next to the Wringer the old girl used to her dying day! It was so new it was beyond belief and the most washing it saw was in Bob's basement before he so graciously sent it to me!

Rogers' machine is all restored mechanically now and is awaiting a paint job before I show her off. She will be 1956 Carribbean Blue when she is done!! Color finally comes to the collection!

Jon, I didn't think that was the machine you got from Roger but wasn't sure. I love the fact that you know some of the history of that machine!! I will never understand someone who gets a new machine and doesn't use it. Can't wait to see the Carribbean Blue beauty when she is all done!! Keep me posted!! Terry
