Donalds Mother makes a Pumpkin Pie that is different from any I have ever had, it is her Mothers recipe,,,I used home grown pumpkin so I dont know how it would work with canned, I dont like the canned pumpkin myself...with that warning, here it is.
2 regular 9 inch pie shells or 1 deep.
put 5 very thin pats of butter in each crust,
Mix together
1/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
pinch salt
1 1/2 TBSP flour
Add 1 beaten egg
2 cups pumpkin
1 cup milk
Pour into pie shell/s,
Sprinkle the top with granulated brown sugar and cinnamon, you can use regular brown sugar on top, but if you do, cut down on the milk so the filling will be thicker, otherwise it will sink to the bottom of your pie and make a mess..
bake at 350 for 1 hour.
