I am looking to purchase an operating vintage, matching, Kenmore washer (with the manual lint filter) & dryer. I am also interested in a matching vintage Frigidaire set (Crown Imperial, etc.). If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Get throughly familar with the models you're looking for and check Craigslist regularly.

Shouldn't be too difficult finding a vintage Kenmore set provided the vintage is late 60's-70's.
However, it may be necessary to purchase them individually.

and it's not always gonna be found in your backyard....yo may have a shipper transport them for you, or you may have to travel to get them, this includes or helps if you have a truck, or rent one.....

think about all of this before considering looking for one.....and be ready for it when it does, if you snooze, someone else may grab it......

your new to us, but we have seen and heard it all....oh, it's too far away, or wish I had the money, or I don't have way to get it home.....plan now....it may be a wait, but when you least suspect it, it will pop up

good luck and happy hunting

we have suggestions for that too!.......

we have been there already....and still are!

some use:

TSCMoving.com

Ucrate.com

UShip.com

Jim the trucker.....he transports all across the country, a little cheaper, and takes a little longer, he picks up and drops off as he hits different areas of the country...

there have been members who have helped out as well, picking up, holding, transporting, or moving from member to member, state to state, until it reaches you....

if you want it bad enough....it can happen, and anything is possible!

you may want to uprade your membership....we have a section..."ShopperSquare"....which is designed for members to list items for sale, as well as notify of appliances found on places like craigslist, someone may have found in their area, that someone may be looking for......

Yogi:

The Shoppers Square forum is public; an upgraded membership is not needed to view it or post in it, though upgraded memberships are highly desirable for many reasons.

Not least of which is lending The Management a helping hand with expenses. We eat a lot of bandwidth with our posts and pics.
