Have you ever tried the "soak" option on a wash cycle ?
How does it work ? Note I don't mean "rinse & hold" but an option of a whole wash cycle

Thanks in advance
Carlo

Its a longer heated prewash

Ciao Carlo,

When you select the 'soak' option on the dishwasher, it heats the water to approx 40 - 50 degrees and the soak phase extends the prewash by 15-20 minutes.
I have used this in combination with the 'Normal 55' or 'Intensive 65' programme. It cleans baked on / dried on soiling very well. I add some detergent to the prewash compartment. Either CareCollection dishwasher powder or tabs.

Thanks Rod,
now I know, some Zanussi DW (Techna series) have such extended hot prewash on Normal 65°C (40°C prew) and WRD Intensive 70° (55°C prew) by default.
Thanks to PCB controls it is impossible shift this hot prewash when not necessary.
As usual miele allows wider choices. One can use "muscled" prewashes only when they are necessary
