Quick question - Adjusting water level on a Neptune 5500 washer

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

this is a video from our buddy Ben, who does great videos, and we thank him, but this is what your machine should be doing and using as a good amount of water that is added...mine are the same....and I get great results for washing and rinsing....compared to some other FLers out there....it really does add according to the load....

I'm sure the water level is OK.
I've modified every front loader's water level I have ever owned with great results and figured the Neptune was next. I've raised the water level on my Whirlpool Duet, Frigemore, Haier and Malber combos, all of these have windows and the increase in water level always added to the drama behind the glass.
On a side note I do love the simple way Maytag designed the pressure sensor to rest at the bottom of the tub merged with the water pump assembly. This clever design does away with the use of the tubing and mounting hardware setup all the other manufacturers use.

I agree with the switch location BUT the only drawback is if something is washed that shouldn't be like a poor condition rubber backed rug or a load of clothing loaded with sand (yes, it has happened. A large service call caused by the inability to do a little shake...) then all that goodness gets into the pump and potentially blocks the pressure switch's port...

same as Yogitunes

with the neptune I had it rinsed very well.
@tecnopolis have you changed any of the newer machines water levels? Apparently, if I'm correct in this, the newer water level swithes have a circuit board making it more difficult?

Luckily, All the ones I've modded have had analog water level switches that only needed a screwdriver to adjust. The only exception was the Duet with the fill meter valve. Trip that and an automatic drain cycle was started.

Duet water level

I adjusted the water level on mine it has the analog switch.
So do you know if the newer duets have better rinsing with the fill meter valve?
