I noticed some interest in quilting over at Vacuumland. Not sure if the experienced quilters and those that are trying their hand and new machines have seen this store on the web. The link was posted by one of the sewing groups I belong to.

Perhaps even non-quilters might find a fabric or two they might like. New curtains for the washroom?

I've already ordered from that site

But missed those fabrics. Hmmm Greg, we must collaborate on a quilt. Oh the possibilities. And looking at the fabric would definitely break up the monotony of sewing long straight stitches!

As I have the Viking #1+ machine, plus picked up an older Huskylock 800 serger. I belong to the Yahoo group on #1+. The + indicated this machine does embroidery, though limited to 4x4 hoop size. I have been looking at Babylock, great machines and a wonderful value, so I joined the Yahoo ESG group. Which is a sister machine to Brother. That's where that quilting link came from...much to my surprise!

I love to make clothes and also machine embroider. Embird is the program I use for design. Very user friendly and cost effective when compared to most of the big name software that go with the machine.

For men, most patterns are a bit limiting. I found a site called www.wildginger.com that you can order a program called Tailor Made. Enter your specific measurements, make a sloper to check the fit and you are on the way to your own custom clothes!

Pete, I think even Aunt Bee would approve of some of those fabrics!

Here is a another site that's great for excellent service and good prices. You can join up for free, and also make bids on their items. Plus they have club member specials several times a week. Very good prices for thread and stabilizer. Plus they have different clothes for embroidery on sale from time to time.
