R.I.P. Les Paul

At age 14 he was fitting phonograph needles and telephone receivers inside acoustic guitars, and playing prototypes of the electric guitar -- in 1929.

Aside from his inventive genius he was also one heck of a guitar player.

If I had to choose a favorite guitar tone, it would be a Les Paul through an Orange or Marshall amp. A classic late 60's-'70's sound.

My Les Paul was made in the early '80s, and it's one of my prized possessions.
