Racist Chinese Laundry Commercial

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

this is the 21st century, isn't it?

Not in China, I guess.

This was already discussed in a thread that was posted in one of the forums accessible to upgraded members, where some insight into the Chinese culture and homogeneous nature of the population was provided.

This reminds me of the movie Kinky Boots in which the plain-jane, girl-next-door was both smarter and hotter than the "glamour girl" who was supposed to be more desirable.

Race issues aside, I think a very poor casting job was done. I can't help but wonder how many people world-wide would find the guy thrown into the machine more desirable than the one taken out.

Has anyone else

seen the TV commercial for Dr Pepper with the wife telling her hubby he deserves a raise for doing the laundry?
He lifts the washer lid, and a drag fairy tells him he does deserve a raise.

Ok Joe,

I though he looked vaguely familiar. I found it hilarious.
Once I was up in Traverse city for their cherry festival parade, and there was a float with a washing machine on it, and the same type of costume on the guy inside the washer. The guy's around the washer had kahki shorts on, tank tops, and blue Maytag repairman like hats on.

Of course not,

but diversity has to be presented as not to offend anyone.
Say a tall guy went in to a hot wash, or a dryer, and a short man came out. Some would think that is derogatory, even though the intent was to show that hot water shrinks.
