Heres a good one for you appliance fans that are also train fans-Videos of a rare steam powered rotary snowplaow used to clear the Cumbres&Toltec Narrow guage RR in the spring--The device is AWSOME to watch in the movie-esp if you have a large screen set.and the sounds of the plow and its locomotives that push it are really impressive-and great to show off home theater systems. The videos show details of the steam engine and drive that turns the plows rotary snow blower wheel-and it cutting thru snowdrifts 12ft thick.

Great RR.

I am a big Denver & Rio Grande Narrow Gauge fan. I have ridden both the Cumbres & Toltec and the Durango & Silverton. Wonderfully preserved, tastefully presented, and utterly amazing to go and see.

From the link I made-they sell videos of the Canadian snowplows-and have "previews" of it in the RR videos of the rotary plow.Thinking of getting the Canadian one.they also had a snowplow vehicle like that on the Dakota-montana-Eastern RR in South Dakota. It was always parked in the Rapid City RR yard. Most RR's today are using Jordan Spreaders for "snowplows"and to spread RR ballast at other times of the year.
