Ok,vacuum gurus. I have a Rainbow SE and I heard somewhere that Rainbow makes 3 and 5 gallon steel water basins. Is this true or is it just an urban myth????....Bill in Az.....
There is a larger basin you can get, 4 quarts rather than the usual 2, but it is made of the same material as the usual basin. At least as far as I know, those are the only two available. I think the larger one is designed for wet pickup, shampooing, and other big jobs.

They used to make these galvanized "cans" you speak of years ago, for the old chrome top models. I remember them as a kid in the vac shop. Now they just make the plastic ones that Scott mentioned. Haven't seen a metal one in years.

I beleive the metal water-dirt containers were made for the Rainbow "B" and "C" series machines.They were advertised "for commercial use of your Rexaire" those machines went under the name "Rexaire".
