Well done on the clean up! a new type plastic drain "u" bend will fit the drain or even a flexible hose thats used on kitchen sinks will fit if you want to try it, the impellor looks so much better than mine, once you get some electrics sorted try filling it manually up to about 3/4 of the impellor and try it. a piece of plastic on the top will allow you to see it , but i found without dishes the wash force was too strong and nearly popped up the lid. So if you fancy a drive to Durham ha ha you can pop it in your boot to show me !
