That's nice! Did Hotpoint offer a twin of this range?

When Did Hotpoint introduce it's first self-cleaning models?

That is amazing how little they changed the control panel from the Hotpoint stove! I think this would be great as a companion to your Hotpoint, Hans... as you say, when have ever seen another, what a rare, pretty stove to save!

Age

I'm thinking this is either late 1960's or early 1970's.  If you notice the oven knobs, this design was used by GE in the late 60's.  It's doubtful GE would share their 'latest and greatest' design elements with Hotpoint/Penncrest, at least not until the new were worn off.  I would not be surprised if this weren't something like 1971, 72, 73..

Control Panel

The backsplash on this is almost the same as my Aunt Mables Hotpoint that was bought in 62 or 63, except it was 40 inch and of course not self cleaning...

My grandmother had a Hotpoint range that had the same push button controls...in fact the same panel, but hers had a window for the oven door and hers had the slide out Teflon panels in the oven. She kept the oven clean since it was easy to do. She had it from the early 60's til I want to say 1994 when it was replaced with a White Westinghouse stove.

Early Designed Hotpoint Built Self-Cleaning Range

I remember these, they used the electrical control components from GE but the rest was all Hotpoint, the oven liner, racks, door and hinges were from the HP side of things. I guess they were good ranges but I still prefer the GE versions of the P-7 ovens, the HPs just looked cheaper inside the oven Etc. This one is late 60s-maybe early 70s.
