Raymond Loewy (?) Kenmore Gas Range (San Francisco)

Never seen one like this.  It appears to be in nice shape but pilots (presuming it has them) need work. 

 

I know Loewy designed Coldspots, but am not aware that he also did ranges for Sears.

I know that is a late 40's, early 50's Kenmore. My mothers Kenmore gas and kerosene had the exact same knobs. They must have turned the pilots off as it needs to be lighted by hand. My father turned our pilots off as he said it wasted too much gas.

That is a beautiful range.
I would imagine the tops get very hot when the pilots are on and the tops are down.
I really like the burner design. I bet it is a good stove to simmer.
