Just curious, what year or years did today's POD RCA washer/dryer exist? I bet they are a rare find today.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the standard sized exterior door opening in a home 30 inches? My thought is that this machine was too big to fit into the most typical homes! What was the depth dimension?
I imagine if this washer had lackluster sales, it was becaue many people could not install it in their homes.
With this being said, I believe my house had a combo W/D installed when it was new. The dryer hose connection that was in the kitchen was located between the fill and drain pipes, instead of off to the side. There was also only a single 220 volt plug in the wall....oh well I guess it could have been a stackable. It's just exciting to think what sort of laundry equipment would have been in a older home over the years!
