I just got an E-Mail from GE, with the following info {see below}, that I wanted to share with everyone on the Club Site. It can be quite upsetting, if it goes beyond their control. They do claim that they seem to have a good hold on it although.

Peace and Fun Times, Steve

My GE wish list...

Bring back the Filter-Flo, but this time design a suspended inner/outer tub unit, with a base-mounted snubber similar to Maytag. Wouldn't be nearly as much of a water hog that way, and off-balance loads wouldn't pose as much of a problem as they did before...

y'all got it backwards...

...that was GE's wish list:
1) Our customers would stop asking for filter-flo.
2) The next hurricane would show a little more TLC to these areas of Louisiana and Nebraska (insert addresses)
3) Our appliances built in the 30's, 40's,50's and 60's would finally give up the ghost and
4) consumers would be silly enough to think the new ones are just as good...

I, personally, like my grits with lots of butter.
