{My Request}

I would like to know at which Stores in my area that I would
be able to locate the Wisk Tablets? Are they still available, or are they a discontinued item?

Regards, Steve

Hi Steve,

Thank you for writing!

The product you have contacted us about has been discontinued. We are sorry that we do not have any remaining stock.

Our company's goal is to provide consumers with a variety of products to meet their needs and preferences. As you know, marketing is a complex function, and many business factors are taken into consideration before discontinuing a product. Before a product becomes available at the retail level, much time and expense is involved in perfecting the formulation, consumers focus testing, and marketing support.

It truly saddens us when we must discontinue a product. However, consumer demand is a major factor. When the level of demand is insufficient to ensure that consumers receive high quality products at an affordable price, the product may be discontinued.

We apologize that this product is no longer available and hope you will continue to enjoy our products.

Thanks for your interest!

Well, they sure did not talk to manufacturers of HE washers when they designed the tablets. They were one of the two best cleaning HE powder formulas for me in my water and machines, but none of the manufacturers recommended those hard to dissolve tablets in their HE machines because the small amounts of water in the drum really slowed the product's going into solution. They just sat in dispenser drawers so you had to cut or tear into the little packets and then crush the tablets in order to use them. They were just not designed for easiest use in HE machines. They should just bring the formula back as a powder, or better yet, bring back the very low sudsing formula sold in those little boxes with the red scoop in the 80s.

I think Lever relied on the tablet making process they use overseas for Wisk here. The UK Persil tables are not recommended for the dispenser drawer; instead they come with a little mess bag into which you put the tablets and then put them into the drum. "POP THEM IN THE BAG!" is cheerfully printed on each tablet packet. I don't think the USA consumer market would go for putting the tablets into the bag, then putting the bag into the washer when they just spent $1K on a machine with a dispenser drawer. And then, you are supposed to hunt the bag out of the wet load when the cycle was finished because the bag is not supposed to go into the dryer.

Meanwhile, by all accounts, Tide tablets dissolved better than Wisk. I understand from our UK members the Ariel tabs do indeed dissolve better and don't need any additional mesh bag fussing to use.

I don't use the Persil bag either. I crumble the tablets in the packet before opening it, then open the packet into the dispenser drawer.
