Shabby Chic Magnavox nightmare
I hope I didn't repeat that story here, I know I told it somewhere after I heard it. Heck, even I know better than to uncrate or unpack a brand new unused item, let alone paint it or repurpose it into some piece of garbage to fulfill my personal vision of happiness to share with the world. One case I heard of a mint 1937 Lincoln Zephyr an elderly woman had, after the purchaser got hold of it, proceeded to hotrod and paint it into some hideous '70s theme. Destroyed the car.
If I do get my vintage kitchen, I don't want kitschy cartoony appliances, just want them to appear as new. Hate the "retro" appliances some company has out, designed by Chuck Jones or Friz Freeling........
