Steve, just found an A806 for your collection.

Joe Jason of Ace Appliance repair is on the lookout for me here in all of the homes he attends to.

This machine sat for 21 years, with the original owners due to not being able to use it in a real tight laundry area. We wont get into that now.

I also got the Norge 20lb dryer, very nice too!

This A806 was hooked up tonight, only replace the belts and guess what, PERFECT. I was amazed.

Enjoy,

Steve

Very nice Steve!
The tub looks mint.
Did you show him your GE Impression?
Thanks for the pictures!

Steve what a beautiful machine!! Oh that lighted console!!!! So happy that you have it!! Terry

WOW ... what a great find!! And to think it sat unused for 21 years; makes it even better. It will be like having a brand new machine!! Congratulations, Steve.

Thanks for all the nice thoughts! That's always a lot of the fun, just to hear people say "Glad for you" etc.

helicaldrive, I have a an almond one too. Email me if you want to buy it. They are still around, just have to make effort to go on scavanger hunts and have folks look out for you.

Now, Now, Now, I would tend to think that the GE Impression would need to be on the "Pitiful" forum, with all it's in-bread features. Were they realted to Chrysler in the 70's and 80's?. Opps, did I say that.

Steve,
That is such a great looking Norge Dryer! Get a pic of the drum.....
Is it Gas or Electric?
I wonder if Norge made there own dryers?

Amazing

Steve, Your collection has grown so much in just a short time. I am really impressed and happy for you. Love seeing a pristine looking Maytag like that. Are you going to have hook ups plumbed in for all your machines? I hope your lucky streak continues. Patrick

Wow, What I wouldn't do for a late model A806! Lucky, lucky lucky Steve! Truly an appliance work of art.

Yah For Maytag!

What a great find, so nice to have these machines in our collections, especially with Maytag being sold. Congrats on this great washer!

Steve, that late 806 is dead sexy! From the sounds of it - if you are looking to replace those buttons, grab the parts while you still can. And a Norge dryer to boot - you are turning into a washer super star! LOL

Good Old Girl

I bought that model in 1977. It washed daily for my four kids, catering business and often some of my help. I bought a new set in 2000 and gave the washer to a friend of my daughter, who had just got the married. The matching dryer is gone, but old faithful is still washing away!
