Today we went to an estate sale...

In Rocky Mount...about 3 hours away...that was a real disaster...so bad I wont go into it...but, look what turned up at the Habitat store in Raleigh!!!A Vischer Flex Seal Electric Canner!!!Missing a few things, but I have never even seen one until today, except in a old magazine article .

The element!

Is a TK Monotube, you cover it with water and it regulates the pressure automatically...its missing the rack and pressure weight.." I have one somewhere" but the odd factor was just too much!!!

It fits inside just like a Wear Ever...Wear Ever was made under Vischer patents.

Is the revere skillet the 9" or the 11"?

I am looking for the Revere deep well kettle.

Across the bottom, I never knew it was made in 2 sizes...I have only seen a picture of the deep well cooker...I wonder who if any range manufacturer used it???

like that Revere Ware pan - we have the old heavier made stock, too... but not that pan! I have never seen a Flex Seal Electric canner - will you use it?

Wow, very neat finds! Now perhaps you need to focus your search on finding a Kenmore Maid O'Matic range to use with your Maid of Honor cookware!

That Revere Ware square pan looks like it's a distant cousin to your Aristo Craft.  I love it, but now it's just one more thing to be on the lookout for at any/all sales I go to.  Thanks alot Hans!

These are the best pressure canners ever made. I have one identical to yours except mine is a stove top model rather than electric. They were made during WW2, when aluminum was in short supply, and are enamel over steel, so are totally non reactive unlike most pressure cookers and canners. Also thanks to the way the lid fits, there is far less danger of leaks or a lid blowing off than in similar canners of that era. I use mine a few times a year to cook large amounts for family get togethers, since I don't can anymore. I wish I could find a smaller version for everyday use.
