These are the best pressure canners ever made. I have one identical to yours except mine is a stove top model rather than electric. They were made during WW2, when aluminum was in short supply, and are enamel over steel, so are totally non reactive unlike most pressure cookers and canners. Also thanks to the way the lid fits, there is far less danger of leaks or a lid blowing off than in similar canners of that era. I use mine a few times a year to cook large amounts for family get togethers, since I don't can anymore. I wish I could find a smaller version for everyday use.
