Allen - me too, would enjoy seeing what you designed..like Gansky1, I love lighting. It all started with Artemide or some other photo of hand-blown lamps in the 1960's. My first lamp-inspirations were 3 Laurel Lamps, $25 and $30 in brand new 1967 dollars. Two survived and are still used. It seems that good lighting gets the low or no end of the budget. Lighting- another long thread, so back to the stove.

My brother (a'lav ha'shalom) was quoted saying almost the same thing in a November, 1985 issue of Southern Accessories. He said that if you have to make the choice of keeping the furniture or the accessories, like in case of a transfer or a divorce, keep the accessories to make the rooms yours again after you get new furniture. Furniture pieces are much easier to find than just the right accessories.

Poppy Range..

Is a 75 or after...Push to turn switches and no appliance outlet, this is one of GM Frigidaires last models.

Out of curiosity, how long was poppy marketed for?

Not sure how long Poppy was around, but in '77 it became Terra Cotta, an unshaded version.

A beautiful RSE36SP I had this with the Ceramatop cooktop and a complete set washer,dryer,dishwasher,Tiych N Cook range,trash compactor and three door frig. W/ the entertanementcenter . I got them off the huge boat owned by the Finklesteins, owners of IHOP. The wife hated the color and they replaced all with the stainless steel KitchenAid appliances I sold them when I was at Incredible Universe in Ft Lauderdale. The only thing I didn't like was the black glass range front. That would have looked much better in white because the cooktop was white and they would have complemented each other. All were in perfect condition. Rarely used. In fact, thewasher,dryer and range still had the shipping stuff in them along with free Tide sample,coupons and Downy and Cascade coupons. Great find. Miss them a lot. These photos are my LGs and my Miele Touchtronic. I'll record cycles so you can see more clearly how great these gems operate now that I figured out how to send photos and videos. You all will finally see pictures of where I live and where I hang out here. Aloha.

My aunt had the same stove and matching refrigerator. She bought them during some Frigidaire promotion if you buy 2, you get a poppy canister set. I have that canister set on top of my kitchen cabinets.
