When I have friends over, I usually get one or more comments on the organization of my refrigerator. Most allude to my having a possible OCD problem. So, I post this to the group. Is your refrigerator the likes that would make Martha Stewart proud? Are all your labels facing forward? Or is it a wasteland of chaos with items long overdue for discarding?

( Surely I am not the only person here that keeps their box clean )

Well, mine doesn't have all the lavels facing the same direction.  But I definitely don't have items which are long-overdue to being thrown out.  I actually do have a lot more in my fridge than that too.

I'm a big fan of neatness, order and cleanliness, but those photos remind me of my late Uncle & still living Aunt's home. Food items in the refrigerator and cupboards were arranged, where possible, alphabetically with all labels facing front. As far as cleaning nuts, they would both get down on their hands and knees with toothbrushes and scrub the "grout" between the kitchen floor tiles. It did no good to explain to them that the floor was printed sheet vinyl...no separate tiles...no actual grout.

Snap 1: No company today, so kitchen fridge (2002 Frigidaire) is fairly empty.

Snap 2: Part of the pantry.

I'd say we have organized chaos on both fronts. Jesus, I buy a lot of Hy-Vee store brand products. Never really noticed that, before.

"Mom! Hey, Mom! We need milk!"

It's funny; no one ever says a word about the 30 cans of Campbell's condensed soups, but the ketchup always elicits comments, LOL.

I make a fair amount of homemade barbecue sauce (Memphis-style, primarily). Each recipe calls for one 24-oz. bottle of ketchup. A couple of friends expect me to present a container of the stuff whenever I stop by. My house smells like BBQ sauce all summer.

For the curious: The bowl with the red lid in fridge photo (Reply #7) contains leftover BBQ sauce. The two blue-lidded Zip-Loc containers hold baby back ribs*.

*Not made from real babies.

Ours is moreless identical to Eugene's.

Except for the catsup. That much in our house would last at least 150 years.

Mine is usually well organized, but at times can become cramped with a lot of leftovers or food for a party.

Here is my fridge this afternoon, I feel I have a few too many condiments on the door, and yes most everything in my fridge goes into Tupperware.

Mine is reasonably neat, but doesn't look like it's a display in an appliance store. I go through it every month or so to throw out any outdated products, so it doesn't have anything nasty in it.

As for ketchup, if I'm going to use a lot at once (such as when making salad dressing), I buy it in #10 cans. The price per ounce is much less than smaller containers.
