Well, over hepast 2 weeks I've been helping a co worker with her mother in law's estate. It's a gorgeous and large 1958 Ranch.

Well anyways each tiee help with the sorting you get to select a prize to take home with you.

Last night my prize was a vintage Rena Ware electric skillet(wanted the whole set, they're keeping it)
It is a wonderful skillet heats so evenly and works like a charm. The only thing is it's missing it's lid and I havent been able to find it anywhere.

I was wondering if anyone had a spare lid or knew where I could find a lid for this wonderful skillet.

Rena Ware,

Is not a very common cookware brand around here. We have some very well used vintage Rena Ware that belonged to my mother-in-law. It is solid stainless steel, and heats up and cleans up beautifully. Of all the estate sales I've been to, I've never seen any for sale. I keep looking though.

I'm also keeping my eyes open for some vintage Aristo Craft cookware for my wife's best friend to add to her set. Wasn't Aristo Craft made by West Bend?

Who makes it?

Does Rena Ware have their own factory, or is it made by another company? I do know that many of the private label/direct marketed cookware is made by either West Bend or Regal, with perhaps a few by Vollrath. My Aunt Doris has Seal-O-Matic stainless which is a Regal product.

I have a Rena Ware set from about 1954 from my friend's mother's estate. They really abused it & no pieces are warped. RW is not solid stainess, it's triple layer, stainelss, carbon steel core & then stainless. RW was redesigned at some point with diffeent lids & a ridge between the bottom & sides inside, in my poinion, stupid design. When I can find it, can get at least $50 a pan on e-bay.
