I must say

that you had a long way to go to ger to where you are now. The original photos were somewhat disgusting! It all looks better now. Is this the NYC place you are moving into?

Here is a great shot of my ex mother-in law.

Apparently she had never seen a stove before,and had no idea that if comes apart for cleaning.

The gas pipe orignally terminated to the right of the sink.
I swung it over to the other side of the room. It is acutally between the top of the radiator and below the windows sill. Painitng it to math the wall makes it visually disappear.

and voila...instant DW, W/D!
All in a few days work!

This apt had TWO (only) 15 amp fuses.

I could use the W&D
OR DW
OR A/C
OR Vacuum cleaner
OR microwave.

JOY. Load management was mandatory.

*Belt-drive (methinks) this shot was taken in 1985 and the machine was already a few years of age. The neighbors were throwing it out because the were moving out.

LOVED that GE gas dryer. It was bought new.
The electric compact they were throwing out would have been too problematic with that tiny amount of incoming electrical service.

*NOPE. Moved in to that place around 1985 and left in 1990.
The ex is still there, and it looks the same. (Stuck in the 80's.) I have evolved, I think someone else amy not have.

The DW was a WP with a porcelain tub. Got me hooked- and the next one I got was a WP with a plastique tub. LOVED IT!
