Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That little washer was a Lady Kenmore!

Said: methinks you should have kicked "him" out and claimed THIS place for yourself!! ;-)

Then or now? LOL
Then: He worked for a real *See You Next Tuesday* lawyer-- not possible.
Now: Can't afford this place alone.

Tiny load in full-sized dryer was mighty quick!

TWIST my arm- I guess I have to post pics, huh?

Casa Bonita de Toggle

And last but never least...

Little religious shrine (complete with electric votive devotional candle) where Toggle says
*Thank you for everything I have and everthing I don't have*

(Catch the little icon [religious picture] on the right).

--wink--

The above was for you, Don!

Inside view.
The flywheel belt is LEATHER.

The sewing machine itself is buried under the TV.

(Louis have you been sewing lately? [Say it in Dutch].

Wow! A Finished Basement!

I used to often see those up north. We can't have those down here as we can't even have basements due to the high water level!
All the extra room!

BTW, that graphic of a woman in the living room of your B&W apt is so Joan Collins as Alexis in Dynasty! Well, after all it was the 80's!

For you Austin

Said- doing laundry in the Kenmore compact (or was it a Little Whirlpool?) with phosphated Tide

My mains-stays at the time were:

Arm & Hammer- powder
Cheer- powder
Wisk- liquid
All- liquid

Austin: (In a reprimanding tone- clutching pearls-)
TOGGLE put softener sheets in the dryer?
FORSHAME YOUNG PERSON.

LOL. Hate that stuff.
Liquids ok, sheets? N E V A

It was a great rental apt. (once I got done with it) in a great neighborhood. Three rooms NINE large windows. Three exposures. Bad electric though.

LOL, oh Bob!

Manhattan-ites don't have blinds. LITERALLY
Queenies, er........Queens-ites usually do.

If you look closely those Micro-blinds in my B&W kitchen had to have shades behind them- They ended up being see-through, effectively.

Blinds = 2 inch wide slats
Mini-blinds = 1 inch wide slats (these are the most common, nowadays.
Micro-blinds = 1/2 wide slats.

(Austin: Blinds=> *Persianas* en espanol)

YUCK! WAY TOO MUCH DUSTING AND NO PRIVACY.

Double layers for extra protection.

Yup:

There is the window-shade behind the blinds in panel/post #108986.

At least the temporary window-shades came in useful and did not get tossed!

Wow! Many chapters for the biography. When I was little, we lived in a small house (built by my Dad) with a large basement kitchen/dining area. The pic of your kitchen brought back a lot of memories. Two ranges; I'm proud of you! You obviously like to entertain, too.

Hope your move and life-changes bring you new opportunities, new friends and a fresh start (no pun intended).

You'd like to be at my house for Sunday dinner, today. Pastitsio and Spanakopita, with a nice Greek salad and Souzoukakia Lemonata for the opening act. The house smells great. When I was in Mpls. last week I stopped at my favorite little Greek grocery, on Lake Street. A real Mom/Pop operation. Great cheeses, olives...in fact, great everything. We'll toast your Greekness and your move, Tog! In fact, I need to get going, I still have a table to set and I'm at T-45 and counting.
