Hi,
I have just bought a cheap ($1) Miele steam oven.
The reason it was so cheap is the outer door glass is broken.
Searching the web, I have not found a genuine replacement however, it wont be cheap. I'd expect the genuine replacement would be more than $400 (And this would be the last resort)

It is a compact oven (Dg5060) and the hottest this oven gets (According to the on-screen temperature is 100 degrees celcius)

Can anyone suggest/know of an aftermarket glass replacement option?
Does anyone have experience of ordering custom glass for their oven?

I think the glass is toughened glass as it broke into small pieces as opposed to shards (which high-temperature-resistant glass does).

Regards

Rich

The term you are looking for with this glass is "tempered glass" more resistant to breakage and when it does, it breaks into small pieces.

I would take to door frame to a good glass shop and ask them if they could supply heat resistant tempered glass for the frame. You should find a shop that'll do it.
