Hello

I've been searching everywhere for the instructions on replacing a vintage refrigerator's power cord. When you replace a former two prong cord with a new grounded cord, where do you attach the ground wire.

Do you currently have access to a refrigerator with a three-prong cord?  If so, check where its ground wire is terminated.  IIRC, I've seen a ground wires attached to either the compressor mounting or cabinet framework.

There should be an example of this on line.

That's easy,

You'll want to attach it to any if the many screws which go into the metal of the refrigerator. Because all the components are bonded by copper/steel, there's no reason to worry about where, as long as the connection is firm.
