Well after finishing off the Woolworths Select Musk and Patchouli powder, we turned our attention to the Aldi brand detergents, being Almat liquid & Trimat Advanced powder.
Report card as follows,
Very good results when used in a warm everyday wash with both liquid and powder performing quite well.
Washed a large load of underwear as one load, liquid Almat was helped a bit with a prewash spray on some stubborn stains, but washed almost 100% of stains out.
Washed a large load of colours also in warm water with Trimat Advanced powder with no prewash spray as the formula claims to have prewash additives added to the powder, result was also very good, in fact I would go as far to say both these detergents are not that far behind Omo/ Dynamo in performance and I would certainly buy them again.
Almat liquid comes in 3 fragrances,Tropical Burst, Summer Infusion and Oriental Blossom, we bought the Summer Infusion and it has a pleasant light lemon fragance which does seem to last a fair while.
Trimat Advanced has a somewhat unusual fragrance which to be honest I can't describe!, it is fairly light and unobtrusive though.
Both sell for $5.99 for a 1.5kg box of powder and a 2 litre liquid bottle.
Apparently the Trimat Front Load formula won an award from Choice magazine in February 2013.
Cheers.
Steve.
