It was pointed out to me that oh so many keep trying to get the candidates' views on religion and The Bible.

Since when is this a theocracy?

Had it on in the background listening to a good part of it. Nothing but the same old white men in their same old suits touting the same old rhetoric whilst dancing round the questions.
It always amazes me though how much Bible and religion plays in America, something that rarely is brought up as a question to a Canadian politician.

Bite your tongue, Pete! I don't think Romney has a chance with the conservative and evangelical christians that still see the mormon church as little more than a cult. Good hair or not, religion matters - especially to the GOP.

It's quite perplexing and yet amusing that Rudy G. snagged the endorsement of Pat Robertson - for what it's worth.

The only one that seemed even tolerable was Huckabee, he at least seems honest and hardworking but being a minister edges dangerously close to theocratic policy that we are already paying the price for now, and possibly will for many, many years to come. My mother told me tonight that when they lived in their senior citizen paradise in North-Central Arkansas, Huckabee was the governor. They were doing some much-needed renovations on the governor's mansion and he and his wife lived in a double-wide trailer on the mansion grounds. Maybe that's what this country needs is a guy right out of a trailer!

Nah, I still say his good looks and hair will win in the end. The rest of them just look like a bunch of dried apple dolls in comparison. Wait and see. Even my Magic 8 Ball confirms this. When I asked will he win it showed "decidedly yes"

An interesting tidbit, his family owned a summer cottage here in Ontario about 30 miles up the lake from me and he apparently spent a lot of his summers growing up there.

I had the debate on while reading the Boston Globe and more than a few times I had to put the paper down and really listen to what was being asked. i thought that there was separation of church and state in this country. You wouldnt know it by some of the questions some of the whack jobs were asking. I had to turn it off since I was getting kinda pissed by what I seeing and hearing.
Now onto Romney...living in a statewhere he was a part time governor...he was out of the office in 2006 a whole 212 days. He didnt get paid for being governor...he didnt need the money...as they say you get what you pay for. I look at him and think yeah he's pretty like a struttin peacock but underneath there isnt much really. He has flip flopped on a host of issues ...he will say anything to get elected and whats sad is that alot of voters fell for it. He wooed the Gay community and we fell for it....then he got elected and his true colors came out. His past will haunt him as he keeps running away from it. Oh and he has a wonderful nickname that alot of people here in Massachusetts call him...Mittler. Think about that one. Whats even funnier is that he wont even carry this state...now that will be a royal kick in the pants.
my 4 cents
