The Kelvy is an integral part of that décor - you're looking at the late '60s/early '70s, pure and unadulterated.
That kitchen was some budding Carol Brady's dream come true.

I personally like the décor of that kitchen
I am in love with the great 70s mod fantasy that might obscure the mighty Kelvy...I am hypnotized by the floor and wall treatments...every 70's house in my neighborhood had this kitchen and a Chevy Impala in the garage

I would love to step into that kitchen and call it mine. If it has a KA or Kenmore Roto-Rack with an avocado front panel, so much the better. To be able to have this decor I could even possibly learn to like the Kelvy range.
At least there's no carpet on the floor. That's too 1970's for me. I grew up in it. It was ghastly in my opinion.
My parents bought a 1967 house in 1982. The kitchen had dark cabinets and yellow counters and sink. The floor was yellow. All the appliances were avocado. I do appreciate the durability of those appliances, but all thrilled that color palate hasn't returned.
Give that kitchen a new floor and paint and it might be ok.

Cook Top vs Oven
My experience with modern Kelvinator ranges wasn't too positive. The large console blocked full use of the rear burners and the dreaded preheat setting, no broiler heat during baking wasn't a stellar performer. I have no objection to the kitchen or Avocado green. Kitchen carpet was a cheap quick way to cover a multitude of sins.

OMG, I had totally forgotten about kitchen & bathroom(YUCK) carpeting. My great-aunt Grace had kitchen carpeting as did friends of ours. That was one disgusting idea that I hope never comes back around.
Bathroom and Kitchen carpeting was all the rage in the 70's...I am not a fan of it because it is hard to keep clean..one house I lived in growing up had kitchen carpet, a Roper 'Flair' style gas range...(that Mom hated!..) a 1963 Kitchen Aid Imperial Dishwasher (even at 9 I was enamored with the big blue wash arm!)and the 1962 Westinghouse fridge that made the move...wish I could find some pictures!!
30 " Kelvinator Self-Cleaning Electric Range
We lived with the 1972 Whirlpool branded version of this range for many years. It was a very good performer in almost all ways, but not as well built as a GE, HP or Frigidaire electric range. The SC Kelvinator ranges did have top heat in the ovens as well as having the pr-heat setting which really pr-heated an oven FAST, you just had to remember to switch the selector switch back to bake before putting the food in the oven.
