The new Maytag set I'm using have doors that open against each other. Is there any special advice I should have before trying to reverse the door swing on the washer?

Behind the scenes

Thank you for the advice. In the recesses of my memory I thought one of the reasons Maytag didn't put in a window was because of the locking mechanism in the door. If its clear sailing it will make laundry much easier. I am not warming up to the controls on the machines and I didn't get manuals so its been touch and feel.

The door switch is a piece of cake. You can also go online to Maytag.com and download the use&care and installation books in PDF format. I'd also think about registering them to you (also done online)in case of any future issues. Man, I'm liking those, you lucky guy...

BTW, there is also a 'help' database included in each machine's programming. Find the menu and it'll walk you thru anything. The 'Stain brain' feature is also way cool. Look up a stain and it'll tell you the best way to clean it with the washer AND if you want you can push one icon on the screen and the washer will preset itself for that stain. Too cool!

there's no window in neptunes because there is an anti-vibration mechanism in the door. From first hand experience, it seemed to work real well, whereas the front loaders in the US with the glass doors seem to be challenged in dampening vibration.
