My Mother used to make this when I was a kid.
2 cups almost cooked done rhubarb
2 cups sugar
1 small package strawberry jello
Cook rhubarb almost done, measure, and add the rest of ingredients, stirring constantly bring to a boil, remove from heat, cool a few minutes, pour into jars, seal, cool slightly, then place in refrigerator until used.

Here is step one...Wash and cut up rhubarb.

Step six..

Pour rhubarb back into pan, for four cups fruit, I added four cups sugar and two packages strawberry jello., bring to a boil stirring constantly..on medium heat, it burns easily, so dont take your hand off the spoon.

Step seven...

Cool a few minutes, then ladle into hot jars, place hot lids on and seal, allow to stand at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes, then refrigerate until used..This is wonderful on a hot biscuit, but also heated and served on vanilla ice cream!
