Hey all! I just got this on ebay last Friday. You recall the untimely death of my old Radarange a few weeks ago... and I have been reheating leftovers in a vintage electric skillet until I could find another Radarange. This is a model RR-4D and it was built Feb. 1974 but not sold until Jan 1975. When you see the original cancelled check,you can understand why Radaranges did not sell very fast at first. $$$

A better photo of the bottom timer
The top timer is for short cooking times (up to five minutes)
The bottom timer is for long cooking times (up to thirty minutes)
The bottom timer was inop when I got the MW. I found that the contacts in the timer just needed to be adjusted. A very easy (and low tech) fix.

A rare thing to have on a second hand thirty year old appliance!
BTW I really love the color on this,better than the wood-grained models. It is sort of an off white,and the cabinet,chrome,interior,and controls are mint! YAAA!!

The shipping weight for this Radarange was 106 LBS. Without the browning skillet and the instructions manuals and packing the MV weighs 85 LBS. It is PAINFULLY heavy!

Hooray for vintage Radaranges. I'm tending to use my dial timer model the most now because it's so much easier to just twiddle the dial and hit the start button rather than pressing all those buttons in sequence. The other one here wanted the GE back in place above it rather than the Touchmatics so I had to give in somewhat plus the side opening door is a bit easier to access when the unit is up on the shelf. My dials don't light up, now I'm wondering if they're supposed to as well...hmmm

About that tray,
Rick, you have mail, and THANKS... see I did not have that list of no no's... now I know better.
I love the lighted knobs, reminds me of the one the next door neighbors had, when new, we used to make cored apples with butter and cinnamin treats, that was amazing at the time.
