I agree, Laundress. This is too much to bear.

Thanks for the memories, Mr. Korman.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

He Will Be Missed...

...But then, he was already missed. One of the reasons I don't watch much TV any more is the absence of genuine talents like Harvey Korman. For the last twenty years or so, he was not on TV, and I always thought that was a sin as well as a pity.

It sure is a shame to lose Harvey Korman. The Carol Burnett Show, and his work on it, were amazing.

It's so sad what passes for entertainment and humor today -- too much dumbed-down, rude and crude garbage. It just reminds me to appreciate the contributions of real talent that much more.

Wow. I remember how my parents and grandparents felt when some of the "great stars" of their time began passing away - Jack Benny, George Burns (though he had a good, long run) and a few others.

Harvey always made me laugh - usually one of the first to lose it and start laughing during the skits. Tim Conway could get him going every time.

"I'm so glad we had this time together! Just to have a laugh or sing a song.Seams we just get started and before you know it comes the time we have to say so long."

I can't tell you how saddend I am to hear of such a loss.I faithfully watched C.B.S. on saturday night from 7AM to 10 PM.

"60 Minutes","All in the Family",The Jeffersons",The Mary Tyler Moore Show","Rhoda" and "The Carol Burnett Show"My adrenolin would begin to churn as the laughter went on then, once the clock struck ten,I would be there either at my grandmother's house stretched out on her carpet, eyes glued to her old RCA color tv or at home in bed watching my Zenith Space comand console just waiting to see what skit was going to be acted out or what questions were to be asked of Carol as she had the lights in their studio raised. As great a show she had and as great an actress/comedian Carol is,I have no doubt that had it not been for Harvey Kprman and Tim Conway being there, that wonderful show of hes would have never been half as successfull as it wound up being.

Harvey,if you're here in spirit,we love you and may your humor as well as your name never be forgotten.Thank you for the love and laughter you so openly shared with us all.You will be missed.

Oh thats awful news to wake up to.
I just joined the Carol Burnett Show DVD club.
I am waiting patiently for Harvey's, Mother Marcus.

Definitely sad. He was one of my all time favorites. I especially loved his Mel Brooks' movie roles (Blazing Saddles, History of the World, High Anxiety, et al).
