I lost my beloved sasha Last month and I still cannot get over it. yet my stepfather and mother say she was just a cat. I know that is a bunch of bull she was family and I caould never afford to lose her, soo many memories that I have of her and I only had her for a yr and a half. being this was the first christmas without her it was pretty hard. I stared at her pic for a very long time lastnight and the night before balling my eyes out because I miss her so much. I will keep you and spock in my prayers.

I kinow how you feel

About eight years ago, I lost my all time favorite cat, Larry, a Siamese type. He was a remarkable animal - very friendly and unafraid of just about anything. He finally succumbed to the feline version of AIDS, which is spread by bites during territorial cat fights. And he did get into a lot of those.

Since then some friends gave me a young (six months) long-hair Siamese (kind of like a Burmese) cat, and he's great, but he's no Larry. Some animals you just have a special bond with.

It was tough seeing Larry, normally a very strong and robust cat, deteriorate over the course of a year, and finally we had to put him to sleep. He was just a shadow of himself but went purring.
