Hey guys, my other half was going through the garage today and came across a "Ronco Showtime Rotisserie/BBQ" that's never been used or even taken out of the box. We checked eBay to see what it might be worth for auction, but it looks like all of the current models have numbers in them (3000,5000,6000 Platinum etc). Ours has no number in the name and we have no idea what to sell it for.

If someone here knows about these rotisseries, what would be a fair starting price?

Why sell it, use it once and I think you will love it. Makes a really great chicken!! I gave one as a gift a number of years ago so I knew what a great job it does. Last year I was at a garage sale and got one that was hardly used for $10.00

I have a Salton rotisserie and I'll say.......it does a GREAT job! I like the Salton version better since the entire thing comes apart and can be chunked in the dishwasher when you're done.

The older models have a removable splash-guard that goes behind the heating element. Fabulous in that it goes in the DW. Newer models don't have this feature.

I have been knosn to put half potatoes and half onions in the bottom tray, with two veggies on top in that tray and VOILA! a whole meal. One must rotate the bottom tray in that the rear cooks faster than the front!

Lube your spit- If the rotating spit squeels, squirting some cooking oil as lube on the posts will help.

OOOOH Terry, I got mine also lightly used at a town tag sale / flea market for $25. All it was missing was the slotted top of the lower drip-pan.

Ok thanks, we'll start it at $20. :-)

My partner is in full spring cleaning mode, so there's no chance of keeping this thing.

Oh, I wish I could institute such a cleaning mode and make it stick like that!!!! I had to lobby hard to have a yard sale this year!!!!! :-)

p.s.- I gotta say, though, when we need that special something somewhere, all he has to do is disappear for a minute, and, POOF!, he re-appears with just THE something!

....and I dhould note that for a guy in three rooms, I have more small electrics than my 110v 30a main service can handle.

Remember Lisa Douglas of Green Acres, on the farm balacing her demand for power or "BBBBBZZZZT* darkness! She looks better, however, in a negligee than I do.........

I had one of the older model Showtime. It did have the digital interface but it had the removable backsplash. One of the best "See on TV" things ever.

I wouldn't be to sure about that Steve, it's all in the eye of the beholder!!

Perhaps by now the Hooterville Electric Company has been able to upgrade the Douglas's service, and Alf and Ralph have gotten that closet door fixed. The latter could be important if Lisa has purchased additional negligees and needs to store them. On the other hand, she could send her gently worn but no longer needed negligees to Toggles . . .

It was all based on the principle of 7. You could plug in a 3 nd a 4, but not a 3 and a 5. She always had an excuse why she plugged in something that added up to more than 7. That was a great running gag!

Ok maybe she does a Huingarian accent better than I ever cou

Poor thing can't handle more than a 7.

LOL oh Terry, you and the other boys make me laugh! :-)
