My sister sent this site to me today and I had some fun looking around all the rumors and less than accurate "facts" that are constantly cluttering my email inbox. In this age of Fox Noise, Cable Noise Network and all the other media crap, it's difficult to sift out the true facts from the hype - we need all the help we can get, if it's true ;-)

Snopes been around for years...

The site has been around for years is a good source for fact checking. I have a little old lady friend who sends(forwards...) me all this crap about Obama and Clinton and just about any Dem, all fabricated, I once sent her back the true story from Snopes and she got very upset with me and threatened not to mail me anymore.

Some people like to believe crap.

In case you didn't know..

A good way to sue Snopes is to type a few key words in the search box. A good example is the latest email sent by my LOLF about Obama. I put in the search box Obama and muslim and the exact email she sent me pops up and is shown as "false".

this time I'm smart enough not to forward her the results...

Truth or Fiction

There is also the TruthorFiction.com Web site. I wish such willingly or otherwise ignoranous or idiotic types of irresponsible imbeciles would learn to get their freaking facts absolutely straight instead of just hitting that blankity blankity blank Forward button all the time! If such a supposedly respectable person ever displayed a similar attitude towards me, in spite of my kindest attempts to set the record straight, then, *at last resort,* that person's ISP would be contacted. Simple as that. By the way, whenever I reply to such stupid wastes of bandwidth, I always furnish a supporting article from both Web sites. Funny how such e-rumors are so easily distributed, but we would not dare spread stories around in person or by snail-mail. Hmmm...--Laundry Shark
