Greetings:
As part of my automotive interests I ran across a product that will remove rust without damaging any remaining metal, paint or plastic (at least based on testimonials and examples on their web site.) Incidentally, this is the stuff that is being used on the new and now rusty '57 Plymouth that was unearthed in 2007 after being underground in Tulsa in a leaky concrete vault "time capsule."
It looks like this product would be ideal for restoring old washers and dryers that have rust issues. The electronic Lady Kenmore that Dave "Volvoguy87" is now working on looks like would be a good candidate.
I just wanted to pass this along in case it helps anyone on the board...
