This looks interesting. A washer with a small built-in sink.

While I don't think I would make use of it, I imagine it would come in handy for some people.

Do you have more pictures of that GE machine that you pictured? A close-up of the washer side of the console or maybe with the lid open to see inside. I've never seen one of those before.

And does anyone know when it was offered?

GE Sink-Top V-12 Automatic Washer

Jamie thanks for posting the picture of our GE STW, I have since added the matching GE under-counter dryer in Pink, before I install the washer in the Museum I will have the washer cabinet painted to match the dryer.

 

That was a great Wash-In party, and as always Kevin thanks for the great pictures.

The sink-'n'-washer proves a point I've brought up several times: Probably didn't sell many ot these, but they're a great collector's item 50 years later! It's not a appliance I'd choose, but if a person had no sink and no washer....

Honestly, I wished my LG had an option like this... I don't have a wash sink where my washer/dryer is located and I don't pre-soak/treat things the way I should because I don't want to be dragging wet clothes through my apartment...

I'd use it if I had it. It wouldn't be used every day, but it would get used a few times a month.

An extra tap or an extra hose and a large dishpan or tub could do the trick. Sometimes a bit of improvisation is needed to get things done.
