Hi,

Just quick one, has anyone been stupid enough , like me, to buy a Samsung Eco Bubble? It's 7 months old - won't turn and then says motor fault.

I got the top of the range 12kg one too :(

Has anyone else had problems with these machines?

Thanks

Ive had an entry level 7kg model for a year and its been fine, the only problem I had turned out to be caused by a power surge. Sorry to hear you've had problems with yours :(
Tom

Thanks

Thanks Tom, It really has peed me off something chronic :( Glad yours is working. But the "bubble" has burst for me :P

Why buy Samsung?!

First error was to believe a 12 kg capacity in a standard sized machine, secondly comes the "eco bubble" fraud.

I'm too with Chris (Ronhic), have it refunded and get something from a more reputable manufacturer! (Anyone that produces in Europe...)

samsung

A more reputable manufacturer? what than Samsung? Are you having a laugh! They are about as good as it gets.

Sorry your machine has gone wrong. I have a few samsung appliances, oven, hob, washer etc. Outstanding stuff, so get it fixed and carry on washing.

Zodawash, believe it or not, but Samsung has among the worst reputation an appliance company can have, to the point that the rage for the incident of the exploding Candy machine was just a nuisance in comparison!

And as I said, on the other hand I personally wouldn't buy anything that is made with slave labour if I have the choice!
And have you ever used Samsung after sale service or needed spare parts? The worst, ever.

That is just your opinion. There are issues that arise with all manufacturers. Good and bad in each. You are very much opinionated. Really would not bother to take much notice of the rubbish you type on here.

Sorry to hear of your issues, hope you get this sorted asap.

Repair/refund

Thanks guys,

It gets worse than the machine breaking down.

The retailer I purchased it from has gone into liquidation, so try and pursue a refund through them I need to contact the liquidators overseeing the ex-company's assets, which I believe is a really lengthy process.

I can't get it disputed under my card provider on the Visa Chargeback scheme, as it's outside the 120 day time limit.

Samsung are happy to repair it, but have said categorically that they will not issue a refund :(

I suppose, I can live with a repair (although next week it will be the 4th engineer visit, as first visit was when the washer was new, as machine was emitting a strange noise. Second visit the engineer said he could not find a fault??? 3rd visit he found fault but he brought the wrong part (motor) so awaiting him turning up next week)

Fingers crossed ey?

NO.

I think enough is enough with this machine. If the repair next time does not result in it doing as it should you are well within your rights to demand a brand new replacement machine direct from samsung.

Any excuses they give you point them to the Sale of Goods Act and mention that

"Goods must be fit for intended purpose and be fault free for a reasonable period of time"

If faults persist and reasonable action was taken to repair the fault but didnt cure the problem then you ARE indeed ENTITLED to be given a brand new machine direct from Samsung.

I think a 5th engineer visit is reasonable action taken and you ought to be demanding they send a new machine out.

Stand your ground and be firm, Trading standards can be consulted and they may help you. They will also be able step in and deal with Samsung.

Oh no! I once bought headphones via a retailer on Amazon. They broke and I sent them back to the retailer. Unfortunately, he went bankrupt and disappeared - with my headphones. :-( Have my fingers definitely crossed for you.

Thanks

Thanks aquarius and logixx.

To be honest, this repair will be the last time I am reserved with Samsung, if this repair doesn't work then I will then be having it out with them, as I now have not been able to use the machine for 2 weeks.

Update

Hi,

Just an update, engineer came on Christmas Eve and switched out the motor.

All working fine :)

Day before New Years Eve.... Fault happens again :(

Called Samsung (As a call agent myself, I wasn't abusive to the agent as it really is not the advisers fault) but I made it clear that I am not happy.

They said again that I only have a repair contract with them, but I am refusing this. I asked why should I take a 5th engineer visit, how many chances do they want to put it right.

Samsung Head Office are now looking into it.

Will let you know.

Thanks

Samsung Eco Bubble washing machine

Yes, I too bought one of the Eco Bubble washing machine which has been an absolute disaster as far as I am concerned. I wish I had never set eyes on it.

My machine washes alright although I have never seen any BUBBLES in it since I purchased it. My problem is the 1200/1400 spin which shakes the whole of the house, the vibration is awful and the clanging noise that accompanies it. I am afraid to turn it on.

All transit bolts were removed and feet levelled.

I am only able to use the machine on the 800spin which is not acceptable at all as it is not fit for the purpose that it is intended for - Sale of Goods Act 1979.

Two engineers have been out, the machine is still clanging and vibrating.

I am not at all happy to have paid so much for a machine that is unusable.

I have requested a refund but no joy so far.

I am so angry, I bought this machine after reading glowing reports about it.

I just wish I had my old washing machine back.

Has anyone else had bits of debris collecting inside the door on the machine? I have this and have no way of getting it out. I assumed that the door was fully sealed.

All in all a very disappointing experience. Never again.

well`

Update?

I'm really sorry you chose to purchase Samsung. :(

Hope you at least get a new machine out of the SOB'S.

Get the new one, and while it's still packaged hock it on ebay and buy yourself something decent :)

Happy arguing! :)

Update

Samsung pushed for a 5th repair, so the engineer turned up to replace the PCB on Saturday 11th Jan, and.....

He brought the wrong one.

So after this, Samsung learned it would take until to the end of Jan to get the right one.

So they have (just today in fact) agreed to refund me for the machine and they're picking the old one up.

I loved the machine, just sorry it had this fault.

I have a USA Top Loader now, which I have to admit, I love how fast I can get through the washing.

I hope, you get yours sorted hadenough, I never had a problem with the spin, nor any debris in the door.

It's funny that both machines are 7 months old.
