Dear Santa, I would very much like a tub light and switch for my Maytag DG308 dryer( Its so dang dark a cant find my socks) I would also like a dishwasher(about 5'4" blond or brunette) and a Vintage vent hood for my Frigidaire range(possibly with a little chrome on it). Thanks (I`ve been a good boy) Don-drmitch (p.s. I`ll leave milk and oreos on the range)

My grown-up Christmas list

Dear Santa,
I've been really good this year. I hope you will get this Christmas list on time to deliver.

Seeburg 222 or DS160 Jukebox - restored grade 1
1970 Kenmore 800 washer & dryer - mint or restored
Sony front projection TV with lots of DVDs
A nice house for me and Bri
RCA CTC-48 TV set
1968 Philco console stereo with VM record changer.
Lifetime passes to Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks.
A Harley Davidson Road King
I want to meet Ringo Starr

If you can do any of those, Mr. C, I'd appreciate it. At least try for the washer or the jukebox if possible.

KM 800

Hi Jason,....if you don't mind my asking, did that KM 800 you were going to get a couple of months back fall through?
If it did,i'm sorry to hear that.I hope you finally get your dream machine in the new year to come.

Pat

Well, the shipping on that KM was really expensive and then we talked about trading my baby KM for the 800 and meeting halfway in Missouri. Well, we both didn't feel like driving that far, so it fell through. If it were a mint restored machine, it would've been different.

OH well, hopefully I'll find one later on.

My list

our old washer & dryer :-D
A new motherboard :-D
an ati radeon 9800 xt :-)
A new digitl camera
an extra 120gig hard drive >_>
an airplane :-D
An apex dish-a-matic vintage dishwasher (would do good for the family)

Sorry the deal didn't go through. You'll find one a lot closer one of these days; you just have to look.

Wouldn't it be neat if an inventory of all vintage washers & dryers left in the US was conducted, and we could just type in what we were searching for, and it would display the results in our home towns, as in who had a vintage Apex??

my christmas wish

Dear Santa;
I would really like a plain old Model E Electrolux vacuum cleaner. I want the lightweight ease of cleaning my whole house with only two tools. Santa, please make sure its the old non-automatic E so I can use a cloth bag and shake out the dirt each time. The newer automatic E would be too sophiticated for me.
Since you are Santa and have much power and influence, could you talk to the people at Electrolux/Frigidaire about all the really awesome washer designs they have rotting away in thier corporate files. Every one at automaticwasher.org would love to see a reintroduction of the rollermatic 1-18 or the Philco Automagic washer. Concentric agitation would do so much to restore our faith in all that is right and good.

Dear Santa, I want a 1973 LK RotoRack dishwasher (harvest gold); A GE Americana Hi/Lo double oven range that's self-cleaning (harvest gold); a turqoise bottom mount Frigidaire frost-free fridge; a turqoise WI58 Frigidaire and DI58 Filtrator; a WCI68 and DCI68 variable speed Frigidair (that rich avocado; and a burly husbear to cook for and generate all that dirty laundry & dishes.

Santa, baby

I would really like a new place, one where I could have a collection of washers and dryers and dishwashers.

I'd particularly like a Maytag belt drive portable dishwasher, like the one I had from '73 to 93.

I'd also like a Maytag AMP, in running/easily restorable order.

Oh, and I'd like a man, too. A bright, funny, loving (preferably hairy) man. Oh, and he'd better be single.

Thanks

Lawrence/Maytagbear

Dear Santa:
How are you and Mrs. Claus? Hope all the elves and reindeer are doing fine.
I have been a good boy this year. Well, as good as can be expected; never let it be said that I'm less than truthful.
I would love to find a Sunbeam 638 vac under my tree. And one of the original GE Toast-R-Ovens where the door flips up when the toast is done.
And if you could leave something tall dark and handsome in my stocking, I'd be a most happy fella! Heck, short, fat, and ugly works for me, too. Heaven knows I'm not picky.
Oh, yeah--world peace, end to hunger, all that too.
And mostly, I'd like my friends in Applianceville to have the best Christmas ever! A Lady Kenmore for jason! A "husbear" for appnut! A dishwasher (French maid outfit optional) for drmitch! A set of control towers for bethann! And their hearts' desire for everyone else!
Hope to see you soon.
Bob

Re: Santa's List:

Dear Santa, I would like very much to see World Peace come to us and I would like for myself a 1966 "GM" Frigidaire Washer, preferably a Custom Deluxe Model and a "TOL" 1960's or 1970's Kenmore Portable Top or Front Load Roto-Rack Dishwasher in working condition. I would like very much if you can happen to locate a real nice Guy to come into my life here in Sacto,CA to share my life with again, after having these hard 5-years without my Partner. I also wish and hope that all of my Club Member Friend's get their Christmas Wishes that they are asking for too. I hope that we can all enjoy the Major Holiday's, even if they aren't like they used to be, when we are at a loss of our Loved-Ones and also to remember what this Special Holiday's Reason is, for us to share with those that we love and the True meaning of Christmas.

Peace and best to everyone, Steve

Coffee percolator

So, Dr. Mitch, I see you keep a clear Corning Pyrex coffee percolator on top of YOUR range, too. Always like watching Samantha Stevens serving coffee from one of those in "Bewitched"

Your up awful early! or late?

Yes Juan. I`ve collected a few peices of pyrex,Just found a 1qt coffe pot in exellent cond. Maby we should do a thread on pyrex or dishes? Sounds like fun!

GE Toast-R-Oven

Actually, there was a version of the Toast-R-Oven BEFORE the flip up door version we all know.
