I‘m new here, but I read many treats in the past on this site. I’m collecting vacuum cleaners, but I’m also very interested in washing machines. So I would like to share my experience with my washing machine. Probably for most of you it is not a familiar brand. I owned in the past 25 years a Miele and an Electrolux/AEG.
Back in 2013 I decided to replace my old washing machine by a Schulthess 7040i. at that time it was the TOL and had very advanced features. But the main argument for me was the very fast programms due to two heaters (400V 4kW) and the temperatures settings from 20-95 in 10 degrees steps. it was also one of the only appliance with a spin speed up to 1800 rpm and an electronic control that can be updated with new programms or adjust the existings settings.
After 7 years of use I can say I‘m still very happy with it and it works like on the first day.

Welcome!  I've actually looked at Schulthess online a few times over the past few years wishing they were available over here.  Glad to hear they are good products.

The Schulthess machines available overhere in the NL are regular 230V - 3500 Watts, so the heating element is problably around 3000-3200 Watts. That makes them still faster than regular washing machines. The advantage of a lower wattage machine is that I can hook up a washing machine and a heatpump dryer to one 16 amps circuit.

400v is provided from Three Phase power in 240v countries.

Phase to Neutral is 230-240v, Phase to Phase is around 400v depending on the country.

What is Single Phase Power?
To meet Australia power voltage requirements, single phase electricity is usually connected at 230 volts (240 volts is still used in Western Australia and Queensland, although the latter has started the transition to 230V). Any single phase machine up to a 10 amp current will usually (not always) have a standard three-pin plug fitted. In Australia, a 10A plug is the standard domestic choice, but many 15A appliances can also be used with a 15A three-pin plug.

A 15A three-pin plug will have a slightly larger ground pin and will not fit into a 10A outlet. However a 10A plug, with its narrower ground pin, will fit into a 15A outlet. There are also variants for 20A, 25A and 32A single phase outlets, although these are generally only found in heavy duty industrial settings.

Single phase appliances with a higher current will not be supplied with a domestic plug. They may not even have a power lead. These machines will need to be hardwired to a suitable power supply, carried out by a professional electrician.

What is 3 Phase Power?
3 phase power is more commonly used in industrial or commercial settings where more powerful appliances are used. 3 phase machines requiring a 400/415V electricity connection are generally hardwired too.

as describe above it is a 3 phases 16A electricity supply. Here it is common to have it in laundry rooms. I use it for the heatpump dryer and the washing machine.
the washing machine can also be connected on 230V 2.3kW for normal supply
