Scored a 1.5 Haier unit for $75!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Well... Good Luck... Zero confidence in them...

My Haier went through two pumps, purchased in 2010 and was used as a backup/extra. It currently sits in my Driveway and I am unsure if I should bother again or toss it. Hardly used, two pumps. I got it cheap but still it worked for 4 years at best? I only paid $220 or so and it was a full capacity higher end one. Build quality is poor, cost cutting everywhere.

LOVE mine- this is my second

I got one new on the cheap two years back

I live alone and it works out great for me, especially through the winter, because the small machines sit in the bathroom.

The Haier uses much less water and energy, because I can also set it on quicker settings than a big metal Maytag I have in a detached garage.

This newer one I brought mostly because the price was so low, and although basically the same 1.5 size, it is a newer model, with a window in the lid now. It also has a separate "spin only" cycle, if I want to hand rinse anything, or I could even get a MORE portable small portable bucket washer and then spin them in this.

I found the other one very convenient, and at only sixty pounds and 21 inches square, they are easy to move and fit through the small 24" door there. I have it installed on a laundry faucet to control temps as you can see in the link from two years ago.

I've had good experiences with no problems in two years and recommend. I've used Haier window AC units for ten years now with great reliability and low cost. My first one sat under water several hours in a flood and still came back to life enough so that I was able to use it three more summers before the property cleared a FEMA flood plain buyout.
