Hey Everyone!

Some of you might recall a few months back about me yammering on about wanting an organ and a couple of you fine gents offered up some suggestions on what to look for. I ended up passing on the couple solid state (but nice shape) Thomas' and Hammonds at the local thrift stores, only to find by accident, a genuine Hammond M-102 at an estate sale this past weekend!

The spinet had a sticker "does not play" and they were asking $25 for the bench. I found the lady running the madhouse and inquired. "Free for the hauling"! When I showed up later in the day for pickup she told me it played fine; someone showed them how to start it. Eager to get it out of there before she changed her mind I didn't try it out. But man, what mint shape all around.

So now the biggest frustration, it's stored at my (under-construction) "lodge", along with a Maytag 806 ; ) .... a location free of power until (hopefully) this fall.

It may not be a B3, but owning a tonewheel organ brings a smile to my face. Thanks everyone! -Cory

Total scoreage! We've got a WWII-era Model CV. It's a true trip to own a real tone-wheel Hammond...like playing a piece of history itself...congrats and enjoy! Here's a link to some folks who sell parts, etc. that we found when we first got it:

I've played an M-3 Hammond professionaly for about 25 years now. There is none better than the tone wheel organ!! It is truly worth the hastle of hauling it from job to job. Always reliable. Just make sure to use genuine Hammond organ oil. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!
