I don't eat toast that often but my toaster oven is great at everything except toasting bread.
I got an apparently unused Toastmaster B700, made in Booneville, MO, today at Goodwill for $5.95. No crumbs, stains, scratches, anything, and works like a charm.
Nothin' fancy, but nice simple design, chrome with black plastic on the ends, and probably better than anything I'd buy new for less than 50 bucks.
A quick Google search informs me that from 1978 to 1987 at least 16 million of these were made, and the model had a scene in Ghostbusters. Who knew?
