I don't eat toast that often but my toaster oven is great at everything except toasting bread.

I got an apparently unused Toastmaster B700, made in Booneville, MO, today at Goodwill for $5.95. No crumbs, stains, scratches, anything, and works like a charm.

Nothin' fancy, but nice simple design, chrome with black plastic on the ends, and probably better than anything I'd buy new for less than 50 bucks.

A quick Google search informs me that from 1978 to 1987 at least 16 million of these were made, and the model had a scene in Ghostbusters. Who knew?

Congratulations on your "find". You are right. It's better than just about anything on the market now.. I'm keeping an eye out for an old Sunbeam T9. This is the toaster that I grew up with. My mom received it for a wedding gift in 1947 and it's the only toaster we ever used up until 1981 or so!

Cool find!

I'm with you. Any of our vintage Americana will outlast the Chinese made junk being flogged today.......and for pennies on the dollar, which makes it even better.

We use a T-9 and a Toast-O-Later. I also have a double slot, fluted side Toastmaster, but it's stored away.
