Tell me,does the thick rubber gasket on the old Westinghouse and White-Westinghouse tumbler washers itself get washed as the cycle goes on? If dirty clothes are being pushed in to load and "scrape" against that gasket, hopefully the now "contaminated" gasket gets cleansed. Thanks experts!

FRONT LOAD WASHER DOOR BOOTS

The top area of any FL washer door boot is not completely washed nor are the collars around top loading washers washed at all during a normal cycle. I have never heard anyone ask such a question, but if your clothes are smeared with shit when they go into the washer I would do a little manuel cleaning and disinfecting.
